Contactless Trailer Pickup & Delivery: How It Works
At Rich Smiles Rentals, getting the trailer you need shouldn't mean rearranging your whole day. That's why we offer a few flexible ways to get your rental - including contactless pickup for when you'd rather grab your trailer on your own schedule, with no waiting around to meet someone.
Here's a plain-English rundown of how each option works, what it costs, and how to choose the right one when you book.
Your options at a glance
- Contactless pickup - collect your trailer at our Greencastle location on your own schedule, even outside business hours. You choose it by picking a pickup time marked with the cell-phone icon. Contactless is pickup only - it's not a delivery service.
- In-person pickup - meet us at our main location and we'll walk you through everything.
- Meetup location - grab your trailer at a convenient spot like the TA Travel Center off I-81.
- Delivery to you - prefer not to tow? We'll bring the trailer to your address and pick it back up after. This is a staffed service, separate from contactless.
How contactless pickup works
Contactless pickup lets you collect your trailer at our Greencastle location on your own - even outside normal business hours or when we're not on site. Here's how it works:
- Pick a contactless time slot. When you choose your rental date and time, contactless-eligible times are marked with a small cell-phone icon. Selecting one of those times sets your pickup up as contactless - there's no extra box to check.
- Pay securely in advance. Because there's no in-person handoff, payment is completed online before your pickup.
- Watch for your pickup instructions. Before your start time, we'll email you step-by-step instructions for collecting and safely hooking up your trailer.
- Get your keys from the lockbox. When you arrive, open the checkout form on your phone to reveal your keypad lockbox code, then grab the keys.
- Hook up and inspect. Follow the instructions to connect the trailer, then complete the checkout form with a few photos before you head out.
- Return the same way when your rental is over, on your schedule.
Every trailer is cleaned and professionally maintained before each rental, so it's road-ready the moment you arrive.
Prefer a hand? In-person pickup
If it's your first time towing or you'd just like a quick walkthrough, choose in-person pickup at our main location. We'll help you connect, check your lights and hitch, and answer any questions before you head out. There's no charge to pick up at our location.
Meet us partway
Need somewhere more convenient than our main location? We can arrange a meetup at a trailer-friendly spot such as the TA Travel Center (10835 John Wayne Dr, Greencastle, PA - right off Exit 5 on I-81). Just pick the meetup option when you book and we'll confirm the details.
Let us bring it to you: delivery
Short on time or towing capacity? With delivery, we'll bring the trailer right to you and come back to get it when you're finished. Delivery starts at $10 and covers the first 10 miles. Beyond 10 miles, it's just $3.00 per mile round trip. Select delivery during booking and we'll confirm availability for your address.
